Dua for Waking Up – Translation In English
All praise is for Allah who gave us life after causing us to die (sleep), and to Him is the resurrection.
Explanation
This dua is a beautiful reminder that waking up each morning is not something to take for granted. It’s a gift of life renewed by Allah. Sleep is described in the Qur’an as a form of temporary death, and awakening symbolizes resurrection.
By reciting this dua, a believer begins the day with gratitude and awareness of Allah’s mercy, acknowledging that life itself is a trust and opportunity to do good. Teaching this dua to children helps them begin their day with thankfulness and spiritual consciousness.
